History

A 35 year old man presents with axial proptosis. Imaging shows a well defined intraconal mass. The mass is removed and sent for histopathology.

Images 1 and 2 show the macroscopic features of the lesion.

2. This is a cavernous haemangioma. In reality this is not really a ‘tumour’ in the pure sense but probably a hamartoma.
