These are micro images of an incidental finding in the vitreous, of an enucleation specimen, performed for uveal melanoma.

  1. There is an amorphous body, surrounded by foreign body giant cells.
    Note how the amorphous body is refractile on polarisation.
    This is asteroid hyalosis.
